This week, Project 5 will be presented orally. I prepared to show my intervention in class and will let people in the class participate in it.
I presented last week’s intervention results and my intervention for people in class, along with instructions for my intervention. I received many feedback from classmates and tutors.

- Contemporary art is too abstract, like artwork in a museum; it’s hard to understand, but this kind of art form makes it easier to connect with people.

After the presentation and last tutorial of Project 5, I finalised the proposal. I called my project ‘Figure It Art’.

What: How can art toys demonstrate the value of art?
This question aims to explore how art toys can be seen as more than just popular products by showing how they represent cultural trends and creative new ideas in art.
Why
I’ve always believed art is important for everyone. Last year, I got the chance to teach art to kids. During this time, I met some people who saw art as just a hobby, something less important than academic subjects. I couldn’t disagree more. To me, art is not just about being creative; it helps us grow our brains in many ways.
Currently, with the rise of art toys, many have become collectors drawn by this trend. People collect these items because they find them adorable and because they can resell them at higher prices. But does anyone recognise the importance of art toys as a form of art? Do they understand the meaning behind these characters? Are they interested in the messages that artists intend to communicate? Are art toy trends enhancing or decreasing the value of art?
I look forward to exploring and learning more about art toys. Some information that I found on the Internet and in books is not enough for this project. I plan to use this project as a journey to find more information and make a change for the world.
