On Monday morning, I received an email from Brothers Make, an expert in recycling material, which I had sent an email to in the previous two weeks.
The Brothers Make team has provided information about how to find equipment and how to start a recycling business, which I think is useful but not for this project. I would like to talk to them more about my project, but they will charge £80 for a one-hour meeting, which I can’t afford even though I told them that I am a university student. So, I will take their information for my future development.
This week, I had a tutorial with the tutor. We discussed the next step of the intervention.
- For online intervention, I should provide the survey using any survey platform such as Survey Monkey to gather feedback from people about the project.
- Does their perception change after seeing both of the works?
- Think about on-site intervention to gather another sort of feedback.
- Go to Pop Mart shop in London and ask Thai people about my project.
- Create your profile so people will know who you are.
- Like the profile of Pop Mart’s artist on the Pop Mart website.
For the next step, I will continue the online intervention, and I’ll also it beyond Instagram to a real-world setting. The plan is to conduct an on-site intervention at a Pop Mart store, a famous art toy shop.
- I’ll interact directly with Thai consumers, showing them the creative process behind both trendy art toys and meaningful illustrations.
- I’ll show them both Pop Mart’s art toy and my art toy and let them compare which one they like.
- I’ll ask if they value the story and process behind these products or if trends mainly drive their interest.
- During the intervention, I will provide a pre- and post-survey for them to write and answer their feedback, like I did in Unit 3. https://23046008.myblog.arts.ac.uk/2024/08/24/unit-3-7/ The pre- and post-survey worked very well on changing people’s perceptions in the Unit 3 intervention, so I will choose this method for this intervention.
Next week, I will have a Dragons Den session. So, I am working on the presentation structure, which I will present mostly on the intervention plan. I am looking forward for the feedback.
