After finishing the on-site intervention, I continue to make the last art toy. As usual, started with the illustration.
The fourth art toy

The fourth art toy, Not That Heavy, represents Hebby’s love for keychains. Before going out, there must always be time to choose a keychain to decorate the bag. The clothes can be minimal, but the bag can’t! Hanging a keychain on a bag or other things is like what we have done since we were children. When we grow up, we hang more than before.
I drew the illustration and posted a video of the process on Instagram on November 7, 2024.

I don’t have any storage to upload the video on this blog, so I have attached the link to the video of the illustration process: https://www.instagram.com/p/DCDviqYILiG/
After I posted the illustration, I started making the art toy and recording every step. Then, I posted the art toy on November 10, 2024.

Then, I checked the insights of both posts, which show that people change their engagement because they engage more in illustration and meaning posts than art toy posts. (The insights were updated on November 12, 2024.)

- Art toy posts

Analysis
After the expert advised me on how to post on Instagram, I followed her advice by posting everything in one post: the meaning of the art toy, the images of the final art toy, and the making process. This made it more engaging than the previous post that I had done, which is a technique that I had never thought of before.
This approach seemed to catch more attention, as people left more reactions on these posts compared to earlier ones with just the final product. This suggests that followers are beginning to connect with the story, not just the look of the art toy. It seems my followers are now more interested in the meaning than the outcome. But this is still not what I exactly want because I aim to change people’s interest in the craft process, not only the story or meaning of art toys.
I posted the survey on Instagram stories and invited followers to participate. I hope to get more feedback and change their perceptions about craft.
